Simple Audio Solutions for iOS Content Creators: Beginners

Need an easy and affordable way to improve the quality of your audio when using your iOS device to create content? The video capabilities of the newest Apple iPhones has opened the door for creators around the world to have the power to record and capture content right in the palm of their hands. Audio is a huge component that helps keep your audience engaged and brings a polished and professional feel to your work. In this video I go over how I struggled with audio when I first started and how I solved my iOS audio problems.

The Saramonic UwMIC9 was the system that worked best for my needs and fit into my budget at the time. This wireless system allowed me to attach a lavalier microphone to myself and/ or a guest. With a few additional cords I was able to connect the receiver to my iPad Pro through the USB-C port. This allowed me to improve the sound quality for my live streams that go through my encoding software and then directly to Facebook or YouTube. It's well built, affordable, reliable, and just an overall great tool to have in your arsenal. If you are working in the field or in your home studio this system will get the job done. There are other options such as the RODE Wireless Go and the Saramonic Blink 500 that are a little more portable and require less additional cords You will find that there is not a one fits all when it comes to microphones and audio. You will continuously need to add to your collection, but for me this was a great start.
